CITIZ theme campaign: closing of the year with a tasting tour in Palermo

Following on from the successful Octoberfest themed launch, Newrest’s 2022-2023 annual gastronomy program “CITIZ” featuring street food from famous cities around the world, closed for this year with a taste tour in sunny Palermo, Sicily.

The live show cooking at the company’s corporate restaurants in Greece included fresh gnocchi with delicious Napoli or Alfredo sauce for all tastes, Italian pinsa pizza with tomato, mozzarella & basil, as well as a favorite sweet Italian temptation: tiramisu!

 

This monthly tasting tour began in October 2022 and will end in the summer of 2023, visiting some of the most famous cities for their gastronomy. Palermo, Sicily was chosen since street food in this city is extremely popular: its inhabitants are lucky to live in an area with a mild and pleasant climate, so they are used to eating out and sharing long relaxing walks and street food delights with friends.

The CITIZ Corner with the Italian twist – inside the Newrest restaurants – with the live preparation of the meals, gained one more time the very positive impressions of the customers and will continue this January with international street food recipes in their best versions!
