Newrest was once again a sponsor of the reception of the French Bastille Day of July 14th, the celebration of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity organized by the French Ambassador to Greece, HE Christophe CHANTEPY. The event took place on Thursday, July 11, 2019, in the gardens of the French School of Archaeology in Athens.
This year, the world-famous Greek singer Nana Mouskouri, attended the event and performed the hymns of Greece, Europe and France, giving this beautiful evening a special glow, making it unforgettable to the guests.
The event was also attended by members of the Greek government, politicians and artists, academics, as well as representatives of French companies and the French community in Greece.
Among others, the French Ambassador said in his speech: “From the bottom of my heart I wish good luck to Greece for the next few years in terms of growth and employment. For its part, France will continue to work to help Greece in its economic take-off […] Vive la République, vive la France, long live Greece, long live Europe and long live the Greco-French friendship”.
